Police investigate knifepoint robbery in Albert Place Strood

A man and a woman were forced to hand over their mobile phones and money during a knifepoint robbery.

The victims, a 26-year-old man and a woman aged 20, were walking from Albert Place in Strood towards Station Road when they were approached from behind by two masked men.

Their attackers are said to have both produced a knife and made them hand over their valuables.

It happened at around 9pm on Saturday and afterwards the men ran off towards Grange Road.

One is described as slim and 5ft 6ins tall, with a southern accent.

The other, also slim, was 6ft tall and had a southern accent.

Both were wearing black hoodies and balaclavas covering their faces with only their eyes showing.

Investigating officer, detective constable Daniel Bister, said: “Thankfully the victims were not injured during this robbery but we would urge anyone with information to contact our appeal line.”
