Chatham mum Kelly Wicker admits attempting to pervert course of justice after Michael 'Mikey' Tierney's death

A 27-year-old Chatham woman today admitted attempting to pervert justice in a case in which two men are accused of murder.

Kelly Wicker, of Haig Avenue, pleaded guilty to the charge at Canterbury Crown Court.

She will now remain in custody awaiting the outcome of the trial of two men accused of the murder of 33-year-old Michael Tierney.

William Fleming, 26, from White Road and George French, 39, of Ansell Avenue, both answered “Not guilty, your honour” during the 30-minute hearing. They were also remanded to prison.

Mr Tierney died from head injuries in Haig Avenue in Chatham in June this year.

His family described him as "a wonderful son, fiancé, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and incredible dad".

The Crown’s case will be presented by Alexandra Healy QC and Sarah Ellis.
