Woman arrested in Chatham High Street with knife

A woman has been arrested after she was caught with a knife in a busy high street.

The woman was stopped and searched in Chatham High Street this afternoon.

The knife was discovered and she was immediately arrested.

She was arrested for possession of a bladed article and is also being questioned on suspicion of common assault.

Officers tweeted about the incident this evening.
