Woman still in hospital after being hit by bus in Chatham Waterfront bus station

A pensioner is still in hospital after she was run over by a bus in Chatham.

Police were called to Chatham Waterfront Bus Station, Globe Lane, near the Pentagon Shopping Centre at 1.05pm on Friday.

Two ambulances were also at the scene. The woman, who is in her seventies, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The pensioner suffered broken bones and internal bleeding. She is being treated at Medway Maritime but may have to be transferred to a London hospital because of the extent of her injuries.
