Striker Greg Cundle will be staying at Gillingham for another season

Young striker Greg Cundle is the first of Gillingham's out of contract players to commit for another season.

Cundle was one of four players to have been offered new terms at the end of the season.

He made his league debut with the Gills at Rochdale, in March, and has played three games for the first team.

Cundle's first team debut was in the Checkatrade Trophy, coming off the bench to play against West Brom's under-23s.

He has yet to start a game for the Gills but scored plenty of goals while out on loan.

A spell at Bishop’s Stortford towards the end of the season was ended early, giving Pennock more chance to assess the 20-year-old front man

Pennock said then: “He has got that something and he looks like he can score goals. He has that natural instinct.”

Gills are still waiting for an answer back from Cody McDonald, Josh Parker and Elliott List.
