Henry Woods has returned to Concord Rangers for a second loan stint.

The young Gillingham midfielder has already spent a month at the National League South side, joining them for a spell at the start of October.

Rangers were beaten 3-0 by Wealdstone at the weekend and have since made a host of new signings.

Woods, 20, is a player they were keen to re-sign.

Boss Danny Scopes previously signed the player and at the time said: “He can play anywhere in midfield, so he will give us versatility.

“He gets goals as well, which is what we want from players in midfield and he will give us good cover in that area of the pitch.

“Henry likes to get the ball down and play with quality.”

Woods played for the Gills in the EFL Trophy match against Tottenham’s under-21s but hasn’t been included in the matchday squad since.

Woods is set to be involved this weekend for Rangers in their home game against Eastbourne Borough. The following week they face Maidstone United at the Gallagher.

Rangers tweeted: “He has already enjoyed one spell with the Beachboys this season and will be great to see him continue his development with us.”

One of Gills' former players is also on the move.

Bradley Stevenson, who quit the Gills in September, has left Isthmian League side Herne Bay to sign for National South Chelmsford City.
