Medway Area Sunday League round-up (24/09/23)

Chatham Town SR made it two wins out of two at the top of the Premier Division in the Medway Area Sunday League.

Goals from Caleb Bearman-Dyce and Emmanuel Abe secured a 2-0 win over Star Meadow.

Medway Invicta and Cuxton 91 both picked up their first point after sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Abdul Rahman-Sunmov and Avo Timoh scored for Medway with Jamie Reeves claiming a brace in reply.

Lewis Jordan and Zack Wells goals were not enough for Rainham Kenilworth Athletic as they lost 5-2 to Quested. Louis Valencia, Brad Schafer (2), Frazer Rogers and James Alderman were all on target.

In Division 1, Connor Rayfield scored a hat-trick for Medway Sport XI as they ran out 3-1 winners at Anchorians Athletic, whose reply came via an own goal.

Josh Wheeler and Ainsley Linton were on target for Swallow Rise 93 in their 2-0 victory over Borden Park Wanderers.

FC Catalans had Jordan Gower, Sam Crayford and Jack Yeowell to thank for their 3-1 victory over AFC Shorne.

Ryan Brightwell scored twice for Pentagon in Division 2 as they won 3-1 at ASK Medway. Bradley Killick also netted with Richard Humphrey scoring for Medway.

George Owen scored Eagles’ goal in a 1-1 draw with Riverside Academy while John Hickman and Ralph Bedford netted for Real 60, who drew 2-2 with Swallow Rise 93 Reserves.

In Division 3, there was a hat-trick from Elliot Huitson with other goals by Nigel Day and Billy Cobb as The Walnut Tree enjoyed a 5-0 triumph over Medway Rovers 20.

Josh Coombs scored the only goal of the game for London Road against Athletic Bilbowl.

Cantium lost 6-3 to Pegasus 81 despite goals from Harry Whitehead (2) and Dylan Lockyer.

Bailey Hooker and Josh Gray led Eagles Gold to a 2-0 victory against Bredhurst Juniors United.

In Division 4, a brace from Sean Elkington and Callum Graham helped AEI Sports Sundays to a 3-0 win against Tunbury Athletic.

James Hurcomb, Jonathan Olivels and Nathan Danells were the Bredhurst Juniors marksmen in their 3-2 success against Cross Park.

Kent Marina 19 shaded Milton & Fulston Zebras 2-1 thanks to Luke James and Andy McAlindon, Ray Rogers replied for Milton & Fulston Zebras.

Peninsula Athletic and Your Move Chatham shared six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw. Soul Rivers (2) and an own goal scored for Chatham.

Wigmore Wanderers and New Road Athletic shared the points in a 2-2 draw in Division 5. James Lundie and George Hennesey were on target for Wigmore.

Terry Baker scored what proved a consolation for Walderslade WMC in their 4-1 defeat to Anchorians Rovers, whose goals came from Matt Barber (2), Louie Bourn and Edward Kamara.

George Birch (2), Josh Inkpen, Liam Baker, Blake Cavender, Jason Birch and Josh Hallam were all on target in Westfield Sole’s 7-1 win over Hempstead Valley.

In the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy, Caspian Tigers won 3-2 against Medway United after extra-time with Reece Germano (2) and Billy Griffith their marksmen.
