Tunbury Athletic will have a happy Christmas after they ended 2023 in a goal rush.

Athletic put 10 past Palmerston Athletic without reply in the sides’ Division 4 clash with four-goal Ryan Cox leading the rout.

Darrell Lewis bagged a hat-trick, Dominic Jones scored twice and Jake Fowler also struck.

A Tom Bicker brace, along with goals by Mason Spear and Toby Williams, saw Rochester Eagles to a 4-1 victory over Bredhurst Juniors, whose reply came via an own goal by James Spencer.

There was a 4-1 win, too, for FC Catalans in Division 1. Sam Heard (2), Jordan Gower and Sam Crayford netted against Borden Park Wanderers.

Medway Sport XI and Anchorians Athletic shared the points in a 2-2 draw, Connor Rayfield and Zac Goodman were on target for Medway.

The Yusuph siblings stole the show in Rainham Kenilworth 2nds’ 7-1 thrashing of AFC Shorne. Yeni Yusuph scored five goals and brother Yomi the other two.

In Division 2, Eagles won 4-2 at Hempstead United thanks to Callum Sawyer, George Owen, Kyle Thompson and Jacob Gura, while it was honours even between Riverside Academy and Swallow Rise 93. Hans Mogere and Joshua Obafemi scored the Academy goals.

Defences came out on top in the one game in Division 3 at the weekend, The Walnut Tree and London Road playing out a goalless draw.

Anchorians Rovers lost 3-0 to Caspian Tigers in Division 5, Reece Germano (2) and Ricky Gundry doing the damage, while Nathan Jones (2), Tony Ellis, Brandon Staff and Jamie Mallion were River FC’s marksmen in a 5-0 win against Hempstead Valley.
