Medway and Maidstone AC finished seventh of 21 clubs at the annual Kent County Athletics Championships, writes Alan Newman.

Nine gold medals featured in M&M’s total return of 34 awards as Blackheath and Bromley Harriers topped the table with 76 medals ahead of Tonbridge (54) and the host club Ashford AC (46).

New county champions for M&M were Megan Walsh in the under-17 300m, Quinn Austin in the U15 1,500m, Ashleigh West in the U15 75m hurdles, Isaac Milham in the U15 80m hurdles, Lewis Heffernan in the U20 400m hurdles, Tom Collins in the 2,000m steeplechase, Joseph Thurgood in the U17 high jump, Amber Durrant in the U17 high jump and Jade Oni in the U15 high jump.
