Southern Counties East round-up: Goals galore as Hollands & Blair score 10, Snodland hit six and Faversham score five

Rob Denness scored a first-half hat-trick as Hollands & Blair hit double figures against Welling Town.

It was some way to end a three-match losing streak with mid-table Blair running out 10-1 winners against the Premier Division’s bottom side.

Lewis Allan, Rob Gillman and Tom Walmsley added to Denness’ treble for a 6-0 half-time lead.

Devonte West (2), Richard Atkins and Will Oliver struck in the second half after Jordan Samuels pulled a goal back.

It was a day of goals, with Snodland keeping their play-off bid on track with a 6-2 win over Holmesdale.

Rob Bissett struck twice inside 13 minutes, including a penalty, with Jordan Wells, Tarik Ibrahim (2) and Francis Babalola completing the scoring.

Third-placed Faversham bounced back from last weekend’s defeat by Lordswood in a 5-1 victory against Sutton Athletic.

There were two goals apiece for Warren Mfula and Stefan Payne, with Sam Hasler also on target for the hosts.

Simon Walton briefly brought Sutton back into the game at 2-1.

Leaders Glebe needed an 88th-minute Marcel McDonald goal to rescue a 1-1 draw at Whitstable after Harvey Smith opened the scoring.

Second-placed Corinthian closed the gap to seven points, with four games in hand, by beating Tunbridge Wells 3-1.

Sam Bewick’s penalty and goals from Charlie Clover and Michael Hagan earned the points, while Trevor McCreadie scored Wells’ consolation.

It’s back-to-back defeats for Bearsted, losing 4-0 at Erith Town, although they remain in the final play-off spot.

James Dyer scored a hat-trick for the Dockers, including two goals inside 11 minutes, with Calum McGeehan also on target.

Lydd came from a goal down at Fisher to win 3-1, with former boss James Rogers, Troy Howard and Dean Grant their scorers.

Lordswood made it four straight wins with Josh Reid scoring the only goal on the stroke of half-time at home to Rusthall.

Mayo Olufeko and Tommy Whitnell struck as Stansfeld moved above fellow strugglers Kennington with a 2-0 victory.
