Coronavirus Kent: GFC School make use of the Priestfield pitch at Gillingham but Regan Charles-Cook's keepy-uppy challenge doesn't end well

There has been football played at Priestfield this week.

While the professionals have been away, the club’s school children have been out to play.

The GFC School pupils have being pictured out on the pitch which hasn’t been used by the League 1 team since the end of February.

One of them pulled off a worldy save in goal earlier this week - one no.1 Jack Bonham would have been proud of.

League football won’t return any time soon either, with the shutdown of professional football continuing now until the end of April, at the earliest.

And while boss Steve Evans has said his team will be well prepared when football does return, the pitch should be too.

Gillingham’s players are currently at home for a week but they’ve not stopped.

Many have taken up the #stayathome toilet roll keepy-uppy challenge but it didn’t end well for midfielder Regan Charles-Cook.

The 23-year-old shared his attempt but then broke the living room light!

Fellow midfielder Stuart O'Keefe has spoken how he's using his local park to keep fit and may call on a high-profile football friend for assistance.
