Conor Wilkinson and Josh Rees score for Gillingham against Eastleigh in a friendly match

Conor Wilkinson struck twice for Gillingham in a midweek friendly against Eastleigh.

His goals helped the Gills overcome a two-goal deficit against the National League visitors in a match that finished 3-3.

The Gills included Elliott List in the team, having overcome an injury, in a team that was largely made up of first and second year pros.

Andy Hessenthaler's team made a bright start to the match at Gills' Beechings Cross training ground, going ahead after just 11 minutes. Former Gills man Ben Williamson got the goal.

Navid Nasseri fired over for the hosts and it was Josh Rees who halved the deficit six minutes before the break, winning possession on the edge of the box before firing past former Gill Ross Flitney.

Conor Wilkinson levelled the scores on 52 minutes, before striking again to put the Gills ahead, but Eastleigh squared it up with 10 minutes left.
