The match is being played behind closed doors at Chatham Town’s Bauvill Stadium and comes ahead of Saturday’s clash between the two clubs in League 1.

Winners of Tuesday night’s match, which kicks off at 7pm, will play Sheffield United in the third round.

Charlton also won through to round two with a big win, beating Winslow United 5-0. Gillingham won their first round game comfortably in the end but Leatherhead did take the lead and hit the bar before the Blues took over.

Gills youth manager Stone is predicting a bigger challenge for his team against a category two outfit, but not one his team will fear.

His side have lost just one of their last six games and, commenting on the Gills website, he said: "We have got some very good players amongst the 18's squad so I go into it very confident, and so should the boys, because we've had a good season up until now.

"It will be a tough test but there is always strange results in the youth cup.

"We'll go into it confidently. There is no fear."
