A range of good causes are set to benefit from the Canterbury heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz this April.

Key partners MHA MacIntyre Hudson are on the lookout for eggheads who enjoy a challenge and wish to support vital services such as the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

James Gransby of MHA MacIntyre Hudson, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the quiz for the third year running. Having attending all the previous heats in the past, we recommend having a varied team of all ages and special interests to really tackle the questions.”

He added: “As a social responsible business, we feel passionately about supporting charities and foundations which make a real difference to the county. We implore you to gather a team, raise money for good causes, and enjoy a fantastic night out!”

The Canterbury heat is now open for booking and takes place on Friday, April 22 at the University of Kent sports hall.

Teams will enjoy table wine and nibbles, as well as entry into a free prize draw to win a P&O Ferries voucher. The quiz also features a Shepherd Neame bar, a raffle, and individual prizes throughout the evening including the chance to win Eurostar tickets.

Some of the charities set to benefit from the quiz include the Kentish Gazette’s charity of the year Pilgrims Hospice in East Kent, as well as the League of Friends at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, and child road safety initiatives. Corporate ambassador Barclays bank will also double all money raised.

Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organise the event, said: “The Canterbury quiz has become a statement piece in the county’s events calendar, and promises to be tons of fun. Tables are still available but book quickly to avoid disappointment!”

Teams of eight are required to take part in the giant wine and wisdom evening. Tables are priced at £65, but book with code CANT16 for a £10 discount.
