Barclays’ Deal branch will double the funds raised at the 5km fun run event, which is now open for booking at a special discount. Organised by the KM Group's charity department the KM Colour Run will be staged at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Early bird bookings will only pay £10 per person up until the deadline of Thursday, December 31.

Megan Jenkins of Barclays said: “We’re really excited to be taking part in the KM Colour Run. It’s going to be supporting dozens of Kent charities and it’s great for us to be part of our local community.

“Staff will be there on our own colour station spraying hundreds of people that are running in the event with Barclays’ blue, so we are really looking forward to that as well!”

The bank has been named Corporate Ambassador for the KM Charity Team in recognition of its longstanding support of the charity’s work. Barclays will match sponsor money raised pound for pound at the KM Colour Run 2016 and has been a strong supporter of the KM Big Charity Quiz which stages heats in Canterbury, Medway, Maidstone and Ashford each year.
