Charities and PTAs in Kent and Medway will gain top tips on insurance and risk management at the free and action packed KM Charity Team Forum.
The event, which is being staged on Wednesday, October 7 at Lower Grange Farm, Maidstone, will include an interactive session hosted by Jelf Insurance called ‘To protect you and your time’.
John Cox, account executive at Herne Bay based Jelf, said: “We will present to charities, community groups and PTAs on the subject of insurance, including tips in arranging insurances and risk management.
“We appreciate that time is precious for many volunteers and salaried staff and the last thing wanted is a problem arising from insurance.”
Other sessions at the half day event include how to apply to become KM Charity of the Year; how to request Treasure Chest prizes for auctions and raffles; and how to make the most of fundraising and training opportunities.
Staged by the KM Charity Team, the free annual event also includes a variety of workshops for schools. Staff and governors will learn about initiatives focused on literacy, green travel, road safety, health and wellbeing, and Pupil Voice.
Chief executive of the KM Charity Team, Simon Dolby, said: “Discover how you can best use our huge range of award winning services to your advantage.
“The forum is packed with essential information that good causes, PTAs and schools can put into practice and experts will be on hand to answer any questions.”
