Fitness trainer Ian Arnell is going to be testing his own stamina at a charity 10k fund-raiser.

Ian, 33, from Sheerness, is taking part in the first London 10k run, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, on May 26.

The run starts and ends in St James’ Park and takes in the sights and sounds of part of the 2012 Olympic marathon route. Ian will be joining about 200 fellow runners as part of Team Macmillan.

He said: “I hope to raise as much money as possible to help Macmillan continue their fantastic work providing the practical, medical, financial and emotional support which makes a real difference to people living with cancer.

“Personally, I chose to run for Macmillan because when my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the Macmillan nurse was great in supporting and helping my dad with it. Please support me if you can.”

Donate online or add to his sponsorship form at the Isospa Gym, Sheppey Leisure Complex, off Royal Road, Sheerness.

He can also be contacted on 07776 191173 or via email to IJArnell@aol.com
