Battle of the brainiacs will begin this Saturday (July 8) from 7pm at the KM Big Charity Quiz – will your team claim victory?

Booking is still open for teams of up to eight participants to join in the fun at the Ashford International Hotel and compete for the quiz trophy and a place in the county final.

Last year Ashford-based Stargating Across the Quiziverse were neck-and-neck with Medway’s Supernova on 58 points before the Stargaters took the top spot by correctly answering a sudden death tie-break question.

Organised by the KM Charity Team the quiz will feature a prize packed raffle with Hornby collectables among the range of goodies up for grabs. One lucky quiz-goer will be selected to answer an on-the-spot quiz question to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.

The popular Spitfire charity bar will be fully stocked by long time KM Big Quiz supporter Shepherd Neame plus volunteers from Office Angels will act as runners for the evening. Other businesses backing the event include Specsavers, Barclays, and Hallett and Co.

Funds will go to the Kentish Express newspaper’s charity of the year the East Kent Hospitals Charity for their dementia appeal and children’s road safety and literacy services will also take a share.
