The KM Charity Team will be giving away a share of the funds raised on the night to one lucky good cause chosen from all the charities that enter quiz teams. And the money that charity wins could be as much as £1,000.

Organiser Dominic Comins said: “The name of every charity that enters a team for the quiz will be put in a hat, and the organisation chosen will win hundreds of pounds.

“There’s no limit on the number of teams any charity can enter for the quiz, and with each team you do register you get another bite of the prize-draw cherry. So the more teams you do enter, the more chance there is that your organisation will be the winner.

“But you really have to be in it to win it, so hurry and register your teams now for November’s event.”

Organised by the KM Charity Team, the quiz takes place at Maidstone Leisure Centre in Mote Park on November 9.

The rest of the proceeds raised on the night will be divided between the Heart of Kent Hospice, which is the Kent Messenger’s charity of the year, and literacy and road safety projects in schools.

The top prize for the winning team at the quiz is £150 worth of DFDS Seaways vouchers for each member, and the best four teams will go through to the county final.

The entry price for an eight-person team is £65 per team, but there is a £10 discount when you book using the discount code KMNEWS18, reducing the cost to less than £7 per person.

Quiz contestants will also get to enjoy substantial nibbles on the night.

In addition to Barclays, Shepherd Neame and DFDS Seaways, the quiz is supported by accountancy practice Wilkins Kennedy, Hornby and Office Angels.
