Sales office opens for business

THE sales office at Matthew Homes’ development, Players View in Frindsbury, near Strood, has opened.

The development features a mix of properties, from two-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom detached family homes.

WARD & Partners estate agents has presented a cheque for more than £6,000 to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The firm raised the money through a variety of fundraising activities including Macmillan’s world’s biggest coffee morning.

The total raised by the estate agency is more than £60,000.

David Lench, managing director, said: “Everyone knows someone with cancer and Macmillan’s dedication to the care and treatment of people living with cancer is something we all feel very strongly about.”


BERKELEY Homes is sponsoring the Larkfield 10km Run 2002. The race, which is organised by Larkfield Leisure Centre and supported by Larkfield Athletic Club, is being held on Sunday, May 12 at 11am.

The race categories are divided into male and female. The male section includes under 40, veteran 40 plus, veteran 50 plus, veteran 60 plus, male team and Larkfield Leisure Centre team. The female category includes under 35, veteran 35 plus, veteran 50 plus, veteran 60 plus, female team and Larkfield Leisure Centre team.

Entry fees are £6 for club runners, £7 for non-affiliated runners and £8 on the day.

WARD & Partners’ Dover office recently received a letter marked, “The Leading Estate Agents, Dover, Kent.”

Manager Steve Hutchens, said: “We know we are the leading agents, we just didn’t realise that the post office do as well.”
