A large freehold site in an area hugely popular with artists in Margate’s town centre will be going under the hammer with Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers on Wednesday 13 December.

With a guide price of £600,000, the desirable Sopers Yard property on King Street had been granted Outline Planning Permission by Thanet District Council back in 2013 for a mixed use development of live-workspace including 25 artists apartments, artist's studio space with gallery, café and community/meeting facilities.

Planning has been approved for 25 artists apartments, studio space, gallery, a café and community space/facilities.

Ground Floor: Gallery/artist studios, workshops/artist studios, café, ladies, gents and disabled W.Cs., two bin stores and store

Basement: Plant room/store.

First Floor: Eleven apartments with their own kitchen and shower room with W.C.
