Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is in Kent cinemas including Odeon, Vue and The Light from October 13

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film is coming to Kent cinemas – and tickets are now on sale.

After weeks of speculation among fans, and following record breaking demand across America, the singer announced in a social media post on Tuesday afternoon that she was bringing showings of the concert to UK cinemas from October.

Odeon, Vue and The Light are among the cinemas in the county to have already put their tickets on sale – with demand so great that visitors to Odeon’s website were placed in a queue in the hours after the singer’s announcement.

The concert film, which is close to three hours long, will open in cinemas from Friday, October 13 – with the first showings in Kent happening at 6pm.

Cinema-goers will need to be aged 12 or over – or be accompanied by an adult – to watch the film.

And while prices may vary – in a nod to Taylor Swift's 1989 album and her favourite number, 13, tickets in the UK are expected to cost £19.89 for adults and £13.13 for children.

The film was recorded during the first three Eras concerts – of six – that the singer performed in California back in August.

The 33-year-old, understood to now be dating American footballer Travis Kelce, is currently on a break after the first leg of the tour’s US run.

The huge show, which features all of the singer’s albums to date, is soon to embark on a world tour and will come across the Atlantic and to Europe from May 9 next year – with UK concerts scheduled for London, Liverpool and Edinburgh next summer.

Unprecedented demand for concert tickets left many fans disappointed - with cinema screenings expected to be particularly popular among those unable to get to a concert in person.

And hoping to reflect some of the buzz of the live shows, cinemas too are encouraging fans to take part in the traditional ‘friendship bracelet exchange’ popular among Taylor Swift fans at her concerts and to dress in ‘Eras attire’.
