For those new to the game, every month we will be choosing eight animals across Kent for readers to explore the lives of and vote on who will be Kent's Pet of the Month.
Every week readers will vote on pairs of animals to go to the next round until only one remains.

Rex the Jack Russell Pug cross
Rex will be celebrating his first birthday with his owner later this month on July 25.
He is three quarters Jack Russell and one quarter Pug and spends most of his day playing in the garden or going for long walks.
The cheeky puppy is a water lover and will go for a dip at any opportunity he gets. The pup is described as a very funny and loving character.
Living up to his Jurassic name, Rex loves to show everyone his pearly whites. His owners say he's shown of his Simon Cowell smile ever since he was a tiny puppy!
Keesha the Doberman
Keesha is a three-year-old Doberman whose favourite things in the whole world are tennis balls and food!
Due to her huge size many people think she's scary but Keesha is called a big wuss by her family.
Her best friend is Cookie, a tiny Yorke who is the boss between the two dogs. Keesha lets Cookie get away with stealing all her bones!
Keesha is also very close to her human sister Kelsie who she has grown up with and loves going on long walks and chilling at home on the sofa.
Sir Quilliam the African Pygmy Hedgehog
Sir Quilliam is a 19 week old African Pygmy Hedgehog.
He is a knight in quills armour and an expert bug slayer, eating all the little creatures that invade his manor!
His family say he has an amazing little character and definitely lives up to his noble name!
Although he is a ball of prickles he's also very loving and snuggly.
Ollie the Golden Retriever
Ollie is a nine-year-old rescue Golden Retriever.
He was the runt of a pedigree litter and had a problem with his head and very spindly back legs.
Ollie with his friend Lomond

Millie the Cockapoo
Millie is an 11 month old apricot Cockapoo.
The pup is obsessed with tennis balls and can’t go anywhere without one!
As a puppy, Millie was very naughty.
She would empty out her water bowl using her paw because she’d rather drink the water off the floor than in a bowl!

Millie used to hate bath time and often had her mumma in tears because she would have zoomies in the bath.
Thankfully she now loves them!

But it’s not all naughty, Millie is described as such a lovely little dog.
She loves humans more than any other dog and will get on her back legs and try to hug every human passer by there is.
This even includes when she's in the car and a runner passes by.
Millie also has an unconditional love for her daddy too.

She was recently her humans bridesmaid/best man at their run away wedding to Gretna Green!
Beanz then spent two weeks touring Scotland with them in a camper van where she enjoyed lots of long walks, including summiting Ben Nevis where she was briefly the highest dog in the whole of the UK!
She loves to get cosy under a blanket and nap after a nice walk.
Beanz also has to stop to say hello to every dog or human she passes by.
Beanz is described as the friendliest and most affectionate dog you could ever wish to meet!

Prentiss' human mum once left a four-pack of doughnuts on the side overnight and came downstairs in the morning to find doughnuts everywhere and one happy cat with sugar all over her face!
Her owners say she has a typical female cat attitude, you can only stroke her when she wants, she'll lay on any item of clothing and swipe her brother every time he walks past just to remind him she's boss.
