Cyclist flown to London hospital after coming off bike in Badgers Road, Sevenoaks

A man in his 70s who suffered serious injuries after coming off his bike remains in hospital today.

Emergency services were called to Badgers Road just before 8.30am on Saturday to reports a cyclist had fallen off his pushbike.

The road was closed to allow police and ambulance crews to deal with the incident.

The cyclist, believed to be in his 70s, suffered injuries to his head, neck, arm, leg and hand.

He was taken by aircraft to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London where he remains today.

A Kent Police spokesman said his injuries have been described as life changing.

The road was re-opened by 9.30am.

The air ambulance was seen flying over Badgers Mount.
