The air ambulance has flown a man to hospital after landing in the grounds of a Sevenoaks school.

South East Coast Ambulance Service, critical care paramedics and the air ambulance were called to a private address in the town shortly after 2.30pm.

The helicopter landed in the grounds of Sevenoaks School, close to the address.

Residents spotted the helicopter in the skies over Dunton Green and the town centre.

Kent Police were not called.

The man was flown to St George's Hospital in London for further treatment.

South East Coast Ambulance Service could not provide further detail.
