The 34-year-old’s death is not being treated as suspicious, but his picture is being released by police to see if anyone recognises him.

It’s not known why the Czech national was in such a remote area or how his body went into the water at the 700-acre site in Stansted Road, Ash, near Brands Hatch.

Detective Sergeant Graham Norman said: “We know he had only recently entered the UK in July of this year, but we have yet to establish how or why he had travelled to Ash, or how he entered the lake where his life sadly ended.

“We are hoping someone might recognise Michal, who may perhaps have seen him walking in areas close to where his body was found.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who had contact with Michal prior to his death and who has yet to speak to police. Your information could help provide answers and some closure to Michal’s family.”
