Wrotham: Officers investigating industrial estate fire appeal for information

Officers investigating a suspected arson at an industrial site in Wrotham are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A large fire caused damage to garages and workshops at the Tower Industrial Estate in London Road on Sunday, November 29.

The incident was reported at around 6pm and because the site also contained canisters filled with compressed gas, a number of homes in the area were later evacuated.

The fire, which led to the destruction of an entire building and a number of vehicles that had been parked nearby, is being investigated by detectives who are continuing to make a number of enquiries.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously near the site, in the moments prior to the incident.

They are believed to have left the scene in a vehicle shortly before the fire started.
