THE safe and secure environment of Sevenoaks Town Centre is being celebrated tonight with a Safer Shopping Award.

The accolade is down to retailers, Sevenoaks District Council and West Kent Police, who formed the Sevenoaks Community Partnership initiative.

They each have a Shopwatch Radio to warn each other and CCTV Operators about offenders on their stores.
