Trains disrupted from Sevenoaks following 'disruptive' passenger

British Transport Police were called to reports of a disruptive passenger on a train service this morning.

Passengers on the 7.17am service from Sevenoaks to Canon Street were delayed by the incident as Southeastern staff called transport police to deal with the incident.

There were reports of the man being drunk and disruptive throughout the train.

A spokesman for Southeastern said: "We were made aware of a passenger being disruptive to others on the service, it was reported that he was drunk so the British Transport Police were called to deal with the incident."

British Transport Police were made aware of the disruption at 7.12am and had removed the passenger from the train by 7.30am.

A spokesman for BTP said: "We attended Sevenoaks railway station to assist staff in removing a man that had fallen asleep on the train."

Frustrated commuters showed their frustration on social media after the disruption to their morning journey.
