The 26-year-old, of Aisher Way, Sevenoaks, drove a Ford Transit Van, and when stopped gave a blood test of 80 and 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

Magistrates have disqualified the man from driving for 36 months and fined him £300. He must also pay £200 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Disqualification can be reduced by nine months if, by April 30 2017, he satisfactorily completes a Government-approved drink drive rehabilitation course, the cost of which will not exceed £250.
