Louisa Deighton accused of assaulting Kent Police officers and a nurse in Sevenoaks

A suspected thief has been charged with assaulting five police officers and a nurse.

Louisa Deighton was arrested in Orpington on May 21 on suspicion of thefts in Sevenoaks.

It is also alleged she caused damage to a police vehicle and a telephone at a police station, and assaulted emergency workers.

Deighton, 33, of Chesterfield Close, Orpington, was later charged with robbery and eight counts of theft from a shop in the High Street, Sevenoaks between April 26 and May 16.

She was further charged with two counts of criminal damage and six counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

Deighton was remanded in custody by Medway Magistrates' Court to appear at a hearing before Maidstone Crown Court on June 23.
