A little boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

The child, thought to be about five years old, was knocked down in Argyle Road near the junction with London Road in Sevenoaks.

Police and ambulance crews were called at 6pm yesterday.

The boy is thought to have suffered a broken arm and leg injuries, and was taken to King's College Hospital in London.

His condition is described as stable.

The road was closed while crews dealt with the incident.
