Chelsfield Lakes golfers beat Canterbury to victory at Langley Park in Srixon League's finals day

Chelsfield Lakes called the shots to win the Srixon League's finals day at Langley Park.

The Orpington club's Dan Dowie, Billy Scamp, Patrick Chenu, Declan Dorman and Tienn Kapalasena, captained by Jake Potter, proved too strong for Canterbury with a 3-0 win in the league's 25th anniversary year.

The season began with two divisions, East and West, and each side played three home matches and three away. Canterbury topped the East division and Chelsfield Lakes won the West.

Canterbury, despite their defeat, still made history with three Carlotti sisters playing.

The finals have seen two siblings in a team before, but Claudia, 15, Georgina, 13, and Christina, 11, are the first trio to tee off.

Rochester & Cobham are also celebrating after retaining the plate. Last year's winners edged Faversham 2-1.

To mark the 25th anniversary, the league held an auction of donated items to raise funds for Young Lives versus Cancer.

More than £1,000 was raised, so charity, too, was another big winner.
