Police are appealing for witnesses after a balaclava-clad burglar broke into the home of a man in his 70s.
Officers were called to Galway Road, Sheerness, at around 4.30am today after the victim had disturbed the suspect who ran out of the house towards Invicta Road.
The man is described as 5ft 6ins, stocky and wore dark clothing and a balaclava.
It is believed he broke in through a window and may have cut himself by doing so.
