A Pink Floyd tribute musician has been left Comfortably Numb after valuable equipment was stolen from his home.

Robert Gerrard, who lives in Harebell Close in Minster, is one of five members of Think Floyd, who perform across Europe.

Not long after returning from a performance in Amsterdam with the band, Mr Gerrard was upset to find two keyboards and two guitars had been taken from his studio.

The theft happened sometime between about 8.45pm on Sunday and early on Monday morning.

Although full-time musician and music teacher Mr Gerrard said the keyboards alone are worth more than £2,000, it is not just about the money.

One of the guitars is an irreplaceable vintage Fender, which has been customised to be a copy of the guitar used by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.

Think Floyd was formed in May 1994, and has been playing together in its current line-up for about 18 months. The five members are from across England.

Mr Gerrard, 50, said: "I can only hope someone out there has a good honest heart and can provide the information we need to recover what is lost.

"These instruments are the tools of my trade, some of them are irreplaceable, and a lot depends on their return.

"The equipment is vital to the band, we cannot perform without it and we have got a lot of performances booked."

Mr Gerrard is offering a reward for information leading to the return of the stolen equipment.

Kent Police confirmed they are investigating the burglary.

Anyone with information should contact Kent Police on 01795 419 182 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
