Kent Police make dispersal order in Rushenden and Iwade tonight to stop planned race meet

A dispersal order has been put in place after police were alerted to a car meet planned for this evening.

The Section 34 Dispersal Order has been created in areas of Swale in a bid to target racing cars causing a nusiance.

The area covers the Sheppey Crossing, Rushenden, southern parts of the Isle of Sheppey and around Kemsley and Iwade near Sittingbourne.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We will continue to positively deal with racing, drifting and nuisance vehicles that impact the lives of our communities.”

The areas covered by the Order include Rushenden and Iwade.
