Drivers are facing delays due to the accident on the A2500 between Barton Hill Drive and the B2231 Sheppey Way.

There is congestion back to Queenborough Road in both directions and Lower Road remains closed.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are currently attending the incident and road closures are in place. No life threatening injuries are believed to have been sustained."

Ambulance service spokesman Rich Aiery said their crews have now left the scene and nobody was taken to hospital.
