Fire crews tackle blazing caravan in Greyhound Road, Minster, Sheppey

Four fire crews have been fighting a caravan blaze.

Black billowing clouds of smoke could be seen coming from the fire in Greyhound Road, Minster, Sheppey.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation. Two caravans and an outbuilding were damaged.

Four fire engines were at the scene. Crews used hose-reel and main jets to extinguish the flames.

All persons were accounted for.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said at 3pm: "Firefighting operations at the scene have now been completed. Crews used hose-reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire which had spread to two caravans and an outbuilding. One person was treated for smoke inhalation."
