Minster great grandmother-of-two finds drone crashed in garden - and had to check what it was

Great grandmother Connie Harrison was surprised to find a white drone crashed in her back garden - and had to check with family what it was.

The 83-year-old was tending to her plants when she spotted the toy on Wednesday and admitted she had to ask her son to identify it.

Former Minster Primary dinner lady Connie said: "I thought I knew what it was, I said: 'It's one of them things from space!'"

The Sexburga Drive resident is now hoping to track down its owner.

Someone had knocked on a neighbour's door looking for a drone a few days before Mrs Harrison found it.

She added: "A man came round a few days ago looking for one and he thought it had gone into next door, but he didn't leave a number.

"I think it probably came from the Wards Hill Road direction.

"It must be a child's Christmas present and I really want them to get it back."
