A 69-year-old man has been air lifted to hospital after he fell from a ladder.

The helicopter landed at The Glen in Minster at about 1.30pm today.

Paramedics were also called to the scene and the patient was driven to the air ambulance before it left with him inside at about 2.10pm.

He has been taken to King's College Hospital in London.

Witnesses said the man had fallen off a ladder outside his home and was found by a neighbour.

The Glen country park was closed off while the air ambulance landed.

Tasha Whiston, 29, said she heard her neighbour fall.

"I'm just glad my front door was open," she said.

"My partner Terry Hanson is first-aid trained and we were both there the whole time."
