Minster man charged following laser pen incidents involving planes

A Minster man is to appear in court after being charged following claims commercial aircraft were endangered by a laser pen being shone at them.

Adrian John Carpenter, 45, of Halfway Road, has been charged with four counts of endangering an aircraft.

He was arrested after police were called to the Island at around 8pm on Saturday, January 30 following reports a light was targeting planes over Sheppey.

Carpenter has been bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 20.
