POLICE were called to Southsea Avenue at Minster, near Sheerness, after man was found hanged in a garage.

A Kent police spokesman said the man was found in the garage attached to a house by members of his family who called the emergency services.

Police officers used blue and white tape to cordon off the road near its junction with Broadway for a while, but there are believed to be no suspicious circumstances.

The man has not been yet named. The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
