Footage shows ‘absolute monster’ RAF transport aircraft flying over Sheppey

Video footage shows a giant RAF transport aircraft flying low over Sheppey this morning.

Keith Kerwick captured the Airbus A400 Atlas on camera, from his home in Minster at around 10.15am.

He described it as an “absolute monster”, adding: “It Was 2000ft when I checked on flight radar, so quite low.

“I was working from home and heard it so went out to the garden and caught it just as it had gone over.”

Tracking website flightradar24.com showed the plane had come from Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, was flying south east over Sheppey.

The Airbus400 is 148ft long, with a wingspan of 139ft, and can carry up to 37 metric tons over 2,300 miles.
