Kristina Webb from Sheerness hoping for title at Fresh Face UK finals in Dover

A mum-of-two hopes her fundraising efforts will help resurrect her glamorous ambitions.

Former carnival princess Kristina Webb is taking part in national beauty pageant, Fresh Face UK.

The finals are being held in Dover on Saturday, November 21, and there’s a number of categories up for grabs.

Kristina, from Cecil Avenue, Sheerness, has her eye on the Miss Charity title.

To give herself a better chance of winning, she aims to raise a sizeable sum for Rainbow Child Foundation for underprivileged children.

The 29-year-old fibromyalgia sufferer says she’s looking forward to rejoining beauty-based battle.

“I used to do the carnivals, but I haven’t done this level of competition before.

“I wanted to get back into it and raise money for charity.”

Kristina, who is married with two daughters, Liberty, seven, and Alanna, one, has organised a quiz night at The Ivy pub in Sheerness to boost fundraising. It’s on Friday, October 9, for teams of six to eight people.

Entry is £2.50 per person.

She will also sing at Equality, Diversity and Pride with Creativity, a fun day being held at the old council offices in Trinity Road, Sheerness. It’s being held from 10am on Saturday, September 26. Entry is free.
