The Sheppey Crossing has been closed north-bound by a police incident.

Traffic is being diverted away from the area and motorists have been warned to allow extra time for their journeys.

Kent Police have been approached for more details about the incident.

Highways England says drivers should follow the hollow diamond symbol to exit the A249 at Ridham Docks and travel north towards Sheerness on the B2231, and then continue north until rejoining the A249 (Old Sheppey crossing).
