Fire crews called to Trinity Road car park, Sheerness, twice in one week to car fires

Sheppey firefighters have attended two car fires in one week, both in the same car park.

The first blaze in Trinity Road, Sheerness, was on Thursday, July 13, at 10.25pm.

They spent half an hour there and informed police.

But at 3.30am today, crews had another call to a car explosion at same location.

According to a spokesman from the fire station, police are now taking over the investigation.

A police spokesman added: "No injuries were reported and officers are investigating the circumstances of this incident."
