Police called to Kingsferry Bridge, Sheppey, to help "vulnerable man"

Police were called to the Kingsferry Bridge on the Isle of Sheppey following concerns for a man.

Specials joined regular officers to find and rescue him.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 12.34pm on Friday to the Kingsferry Bridge following a report of concerns for a man.

"Officers attended and he was safely located and placed in the care of medical professionals."

Later the same day they were called to free a baby locked in a car.

The spokesman said: "Officers attended Manor Way, Leysdown at 2.55pm on Friday to help a woman who had accidentally locked her child in the car.

"Officers were able to open the car door and free the child."
