Eastchurch: Lower Road closed after two-car crash

Traffic is building in Eastchurch after a road was closed in both directions following a two-vehicle smash which left one car in a ditch.

The cars collided on the A2500 Lower Road, near Brambledown Farm Shop.

Drivers are advised to approach with caution, with the road set to remain closed until lunchtime.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a two car collision in Lower Road, Eastchurch, at 9.44am on Saturday.

"One of the cars involved had subsequently come to a stop in a ditch.

"The South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended and, to ensure public safety, officers enforced a road closure.

"The closure currently remains in place and at present no life threatening injuries have been reported."
