Scratchcard prank best man Wesley Knight to appear on ITV’s Wedding Surprises: Caught On Camera

An unsuspecting best man, who was pranked with a fake scratchcard, will appear on ITV’s Wedding Surprises: Caught On Camera today.

Wesley Knight received a scratchcard at his best friend’s wedding and was filmed as he found out it had a "prize" of £50,000.

Unfortunately for him, this was all an elaborate hoax by groom Chris Payne, as an act of revenge for his stag do.

Chris married his wife in Harty, Isle of Sheppey back in 2012, at the Ferry House Inn.

Wesley told KentOnline at the time: “It was soul-destroying to find out I hadn’t won.

“It’s probably the best prank I’ve seen pulled off from start to finish.

“I was a good sport about it, I saw the funny side straight away. Someone else might have lamped him one but I took it on the chin although deep down I was gutted.

“I’ve still got the card. I might frame it and hang it up to remind me of what could have been.”

The video has had more than 15,000 views.

Wedding Surprises: Caught On Camera is on at 9pm on ITV.
