Sheppey remain on the hunt for their first Kent 1 win of the season following last weekend’s 24-3 loss at Cranbrook.

The defeat made it four losses from four in the league and head coach Frank Davis is hoping that form will change this Saturday when Sheppey welcome Old Olavians to The Ditch.

Davis (pictured) blamed poor decision making on their latest defeat but remains positive that his players will come good.

He said: "The players I’m playing are fully equipped but mentally and intelligently they’re not closing out the right aspects of the game and it’s frustrating.

"We’ve got the players up to this level but on Saturday we worked ourselves into their 22 and then kicked the ball away and made the wrong decisions at the wrong time.

"We’re getting towards the third year now and it’s now purely down to confidence. The attitude is correct, it’s just confidence.

"The players can only learn by their mistakes and we’ve got to get to the stage where we’re making the right decisions.

"It’s about patience now and just getting the decision making right."
